Lower Shore Ramp Partnership

Lower Shore Ramp Partnership is a unique collaborative partnership between six agencies on the Lower Shore whos goal is to provide low-cost wheelchair ramps to residents of Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties with low to moderate incomes who are disabled or elderly and need ramps to safely remain in their homes or return to the community.  Members of the Lower Shore Ramp Partnership include Holly Community,Inc; MAC, Inc., Wicomico County Board of Education; Wicomico County
Department of Corrections; Eastern Shore Center for Independent Living ,Inc., Blind Industries and Services of Maryland, and the Maryland Technology Assistance Program of Maryland Department of Disabilities. Using the modular design pioneered by the Metropolitan Center for Independent Living in 1991, and recognized in 1995 by the Ford Foundationas an effective, low-cost solution to meet the access needs of persons with disabilities.  The LSRP can quickly build a durable and safe wheelchair access ramp critical to meet
an individual's situation.  This can be the critical piece that allows an individual to remain in their home as well as being able to participate in the community and will insure that an individual  can live safely in their home.  Further questions should be directed to Holly Community Inc., where we are committed to increasing the independence and access for our neighbors with disabilities on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland.
